Completion of the required courses will result in a BA in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, an accredited state university. This degree is offered by the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, the largest accredited school of business on the West Coast, nationally recognized for accreditation in both its business and accounting programs.

The Bachelor of Art in Business Administration online degree completion program requires incoming students to have 63 transferable semester units from one or more community colleges, or other accredited institutions and a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average. The 63 units should be comprised of CSU general education requirements and CSUF lower division business courses (listed below) or approved equivalents.

The degree completion program is comprised of 57 upper-division semester units (19 courses), requiring students to have a minimum of 120 units to be eligible for graduation. For a complete listing of official graduation requirements, please consult the CSUF catalog.

  • A minimum of 30 semester units (45 quarter units) in CSU-approved general education (GE) coursework with a grade of C- or better
  • The GE must include classes from the “Golden Four” requirements:
    • Oral Communication
    • Written Communication
    • Critical Thinking
    • Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning
  • Lower Division Business Core Classes with a grade of C or better (21 Units)
  • Accounting 201A: Financial Accounting
  • Accounting 201B: Managerial Accounting
  • BusAd 201: Business Writing
  • Economics 201: Principles of Microeconomics
  • Economics 202: Principles of Macroeconomics
  • Management 246: Business & Its Legal Environment
  • Math 135 or 130: Business Calculus
  • Good academic standing at the last college or university attended

Conditional Admission
In some cases, students lacking certain lower-division credits in the required courses may be conditionally admitted to the program. This would allow students to start the program, but would require the missing course work to be completed concurrently at another college or university in their area. All degree requirements and a minimum of 120 units would have to be completed prior to the end of their cohort cycle.

Students will also be required to pass the Examination in Writing Proficiency (EWP) prior to attaining senior status.
